Promoting your presale with Bandsintown is an easy and free way to grow your email list and sell more presale tickets.
Once you announce a date and time for your presale, you can start capturing presale sign-ups through your website and socials. Shortly before the presale goes live, fans who signed up will automatically be notified via email with your ticket link and presale code.
As of October 1, 2023, all accounts are required to enable two-factor authentication. Once enabled, users are asked to enter a unique code in addition to a password. This unique code is generated automatically on the authenticator app and is only known to you.
An update is in progress to allow users to receive a unique code via SMS rather than authenticator app if they prefer.
Use our AI assistant to edit or generate text to include in your email campaigns.
Plug-and-play Release pages help you announce, build anticipation, and keep fans in the loop about new music releases, merch drops, tours, presales, giveaways, and more. Fans who RSVP will automatically get notified when your Release is live. Plus, you’ll keep their contact info so you can email your signups at any point.
Easily turn your Bandsintown Posts into Promoted Campaigns! Choose a post you'd like to turn into an email. Tap "Promote" next to the Post and your existing image and text will be automatically added into a new campaign. Make any necessary changes, choose your budget and audience, and deliver your message to a whole new audience.
Managers can now be added to festival pages in order to verify them, displaying a check mark on pages that have been verified.
Playbooks are now linked in the resource menu so you can access them directly from your Bandsintown for Artists dashboard.
Added various new customization options to the Widget including text capitalization, layout breakpoint, etc.
Fans & contacts needed to be targeted in separate campaigns. We've added the option added to target all followers and contacts in one segment while using the Email Builder.
Please add to email builder the option for salutation personalization merge tags to start an email, such as FNAME merge. For example, in Mailchimp "Hi {person's name}" (Hi Jane) would be created using "Hi |FNAME|"
Would be nice if the button feature could be customized to actually look like a familiar website button. Other than playing with the radius, it doesn't look very button-like on the preview, and internal padding doesn't hold.
Your email Audience Targeting only has the option to select either My Contacts or My followers, not both. Your system for email campaigns would be more useful if both lists could be selected rather than forcing a new email campaign to be sent twice--once to each target group.
Would love to have an exit intent popup option for our BIT mailing list signup that adds the data to My Contacts.
Would be ideal if we could name Email Builder Templates when saved for future use, and have the option to delete them as needed.
Feature Request: please add an integration with Zapier so users can trigger other actions when users purchase tickets to my event.
Event Triggers: Event registration, purchases, etc.
Event Attributes: name, email, phone, item purchased, purchase date, purchase price, address, city, state, country
Looking at the events, insights, and other tabs there seems to be a missing feature - to view past data on specific shows. For example, if a show receives a certain amount of ticket clicks, views, or rsvps, it would be beneficial to see how well a show performed after the show date. I cannot find this info listed anywhere, however, considering how important this information is, I may just be struggling to find this function.
Thank you!
New menus added to Bandsintown for Artists for improved navigation through our catalogue of tools, help articles, and more.
When creating a post to followers, artists can now navigate between mobile, desktop, and email previews to see how their message will appear.
It would be great if you had a TBA selection. Sometimes you have a specific date but the times haven't been decided yet for the performance

Unfortunately I do not see any concrete benefit in using your email campaign tool. I used it twice to compare with other promotional tools we use and the feedback I reeived from my digital marketing team is 'Most young people will likely open a text than an email unless its coming from the artist own newsletter". Also the use of this tool can be costly considering its low ROI. It would take several campaigns over the course of weeks, perhaps a month or two for the info to resonate and you then run the risk of having it viewed as spam (the tool should provide feedback on this) or being blocked. Perhaps Bandsintown should reevaluate this feature. As a member of A2IM, RIAA, MusicBIZ, etc. I would not recommend this feature to my colleagues
Qualifying managers and artists can participate in the Early Access Program by toggling on the Early Access setting directly from their account page. They can also disable access at any time. For info on the Early Access Program and necessary qualifications, click here.
